Review: Monsterquest 2-25-09

This was a rather interesting episode about the Jersey Devil, with a group of 60 people in the forests of the Pine Barrens searching for the elusive winged beast born as the 13th child to a lady named Leeds who declared that her 13th child be named a devil. Several witnesses are interviewed as well, and an avian expert is interviewed and thinks there is a possibility that the Jersey Devil might be actually a large owl, but is open-minded to the possibility of it being something unknown. There are 35 men in a line on the ground, as well as 25 spotters in trees. There are also mysterious footprints found which appear to be animal-like, but they are on snow-covered rooftops, which are a bit strange. The Montauk Monster, which washed up at Montauk beach, New York, but is found to be a taxidermist's hoax. More evidence is found, more investigation is done, and the results are...well, I will not reveal too much more. Next week examines Gators in the Sewers, 9:00 EST/8:00 Central on History. Check local listings for time and channel.
